You've probably noticed that 'innovation' is a hot topic in business circles these days. As outsourcing is bringing more and more analytical left-brain work overseas, creative right-brain work is becoming the new core competency that smart companies are tapping and achieving aggressive growth.
"The innovation paradigm has been evolving for some time now," says David Eleazar, Creative Director of The Eleazar Group. "It's not only the commoditization of knowledge, it's due to a fragmented competitive marketplace. Because we have so many choices these days - 500 TV channels, Internet, mega-malls, super stores, etc. - businesses must be innovative or they won't last. It was once Delta or TWA, now it's Southwest or JetBlue. These guys lost because they were not innovative and their competition was."
